Dorothy Able

Dorothy Lee Able, age 87, of Pine River, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, at her home. She was born to John and Edith Bodie on March 14, 1935, in Charleston, SC. Throughout her lifetime, Dorothy lived in Germany, The Philippines and St. Paul, MN.

Dorothy, aka “Grandma Dotty,” was a volunteer at the Pine River School for several years. She loved to bake, cook, and crochet and was a rock collector and candy maker.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Will; son, Tom Able; daughters, Ivanna Buchite and Jean Novicky; sisters, Edith and Patsy; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, John.
