Doris Montgomery

Doris Yvonne Montgomery, 86, of Pine River, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena, Minnesota. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday, April 24, 2022, from 11 am -1 pm at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, Minnesota.

Doris was born on September 21, 1935, to William and Margaret (Traynor) Corah in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was married to Porter Montgomery on May 11, 1957. She worked as a nurse for over 45 years. Doris enjoyed reading, baking, flower gardening, card games, and shopping. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Porter “Sonny”; children Mark (Nancy), Paul (Cheri), Scott (Julie), and Tom (Tammy); 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Marie Sawochka and brother-in-law Frank Sawochka.
