Doreen Jordan, 94, of Crosslake, Minnesota, passed away on October 15, 2026.
Doreen was born on March 28, 1932, in Streeter, North Dakota, to Gottlieb and Alta (Cooper) Erbele. She graduated from Nortonville High School in North Dakota in 1950 and continued her education at Valley City State Teachers College in 1952.
Doreen was united in marriage to Ronald Buehler, with whom she shared many cherished years before his passing in April 1977. On July 18, 1981, Doreen married Richard "Dick" Jordan, beginning another beautiful chapter in her life.
Doreen and Dick shared a love that was truly special. Dick was her friend, her confidant, and, more often than either of them would care to admit, her bridge over troubled waters. Through life's joys and challenges, their devotion to one another remained steadfast. Doreen loved Dick deeply, and in her, the very meaning of ceaseless love could find no better example.
Above all, Doreen's greatest treasures were the people she loved. Her family was an important part of her life, and the love she shared with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will remain a lasting part of her legacy. She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a love that will continue to live on through the generations of her family.
Doreen is survived by her beloved husband, Dick Jordan of Crosslake, MN; her children, Margo (husband, Scott Taylor), Brock, Jennifer and Wade (life partner, Tom Gunderman); daughter-in-law, Michelle Buehler; grandchildren, Sydney, Taylor, Matthew, Jacob, Jenna, Katherine, and Mariel; great-grandchildren, Alanna, Duncan, and Ronan Newland, Edison and Lily Zettler Jordan, Rutledge, Jackson, and Madison Manning, Carson and Sawyer Franklin, and Nelle and Ayla Czech; and her sister, Mary Carol.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gottlieb and Alta Erbele; her first husband, Ronald Buehler; and her daughter, Lynne Jordan.
Doreen's life was a beautiful reminder that love is not measured simply in years, but in the memories made, the kindness shared, and the hearts touched along the way. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she gave so freely will remain with her family forever.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
