Donald Walmsley

Donald Walmsley, 86, of Baxter, MN formerly of Minneapolis and Hackensack, MN died Monday, July 15, 2019 at Northern Lakes Assisted Living  in Baxter, MN. Mass of Christian Burial for Donald will be 10:30AM, Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in New Brighton, MN with a time for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.

Donald was born October 14, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN to Frank and Amelia (Zenz) Walmsley. He was united in marriage to Carol Sander December 19, 1953 in Minneapolis. Donald retired after 35 years of employment from Bell Telephone Co.

Donald is survived by his wife, Carol of 65 years; children, Diane (Tom) Hasser, Steve (Laurie); four grandchildren, Renee (Matthew Sr), Ryan (Jenny), Emily, Grace; seven great grandchildren, Matthew Jr, Amelia, Flannery, Laura, Evan, Kyle, McKenna; sister, Dorothy Sederberg; brother, Frank. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean; great grandchild, Jack. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association and EAA Aviation Foundation-Young Eagles Program.
