Donald C. Anderson, age 93, of Baxter, went to be with Jesus on February 24, 2026.
Donald was born on January 17, 1933, to Arvid and Bertha Anderson and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church. He graduated from Brainerd Schools and proudly served his country as a veteran of the Korean War.
On October 4, 1958, he married the love of his life, Diane (Long). Together they shared 67 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered around faith, family, and hard work.
Donald began his career designing roads for the highway department before later serving as Vice President of Anderson Brothers, where he dedicated many years of leadership and service.
He had a deep love for the outdoors and adventure. Donald especially enjoyed elk hunting in Colorado and fly fishing with his friend Dave Smilonich. He and Diane spent 25 winters in Pharr, Texas, and two years in Arizona, creating many lasting friendships. They also enjoyed traveling to many states and throughout Scandinavia. Summers were often spent relaxing and making memories at Miller Lake.
Donald is lovingly survived by his wife, Diane Anderson; his children, Eric Anderson and Janelle (Randy) Sawyer; grandchildren, Tanya (Nathan) and Zach (Shannon); great-grandchildren, Darren and Sierra; his brother, Arnold (Louise) Anderson; four sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews, numbering nearly 75.
He was preceded in death by his son Kris; his parents, Arvid and Bertha Anderson; his brothers, Dale, Larry, Clint, and Bob Anderson; and his sister, Judy Witta (Henry).
Donald will be remembered for his strong faith, love of family, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him.
