Diane Hendrickson

Diane Sue (Johnson) Hendrickson, age 67, of Baxter, Minnesota, went to be with her Savior on Friday, September 4, 2026, with the love of her life by her side.

Diane was born on June 7, 1959, in Brainerd, Minnesota, to Arnold and Hazel (Umbaugh) Johnson. She attended Brainerd High School and Brainerd Technical College.

She married Gerald Hendrickson on December 31, 1993, at the Corner Café in Brainerd, Minnesota, where they were owners and where she worked as a waitress for many years. They later moved to Pillager, Minnesota. After a few years, they moved to Baxter, Minnesota, where they spent 12 years as caretakers of Autumn and Arbor Glen Apartments.

Diane had a passion and gift for crafting. She was always working on some sort of project for a holiday or special occasion. She also had a talent for planning events and gatherings and loved bringing people together.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Hendrickson; daughters Jenny Kiehlbauch of Brainerd, Jessica (Steve) Crawford of Gardner, Kansas, and Joni (Matt) Carlson of Aitkin, Minnesota; and sons Scott (Melissa) Hendrickson of Pillager, Minnesota, and Gerald (Diane) Hendrickson of Phoenix, Arizona.

She is also survived by her five siblings, Darlene, Debra, Duane, Daniel, and Dennis; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, who were all her pride and joy; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Rudy and Kate Hendrickson; sister Denise Haukos; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Harold Fairchild; grandchild, Roseanna Crawford; great-grandchild, Heavenly Crawford; and great-nephew, Thomas Lourey.

Funeral services will be held at Brenny Funeral Home in Baxter, Minnesota, on Thursday, September 10, 2026. Funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. and visitation one hour prior. Refreshments will follow the service.
