Diane Budke

Diane Marie Budke, 77, formerly from Motley, MN, passed away peacefully at home in Forney, Texas on June 1, 2025 and is now with her Lord and Savior.

Diane was born February 26, 1948, to Wilmar and Margaret (Peterson) Henrickson in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She married Wesley Budke on May 24, 1968. They moved all over the country due to job relocations, but returned to Motley, MN in 2020. After Diane’s cancer progressed, they decided to move to Texas in 2024 to be near their daughter.

Diane held various jobs through the years, but raising her 2 children was by far her most rewarding accomplishment. Diane loved her Lord and spoke often about her faith. She was a faithful church member throughout her life, sang in the church choir and volunteered wherever there was a need. She loved her grandchildren and spoke proudly of them. She was an avid gardener and could often be found reading her flower garden books or tending to her flowers, which she did until she was no longer able.

Diane is survived by her husband Wesley; daughter Dana (Todd) Gilbert and daughter in law Heather Budke; grandchildren, Tyler Budke (Haylee), Allison Gilbert, Austin Gilbert, Sydney Budke (Mitchell Grunder); great grandchildren, Mila Gilbert, Reese Budke, Emerson Budke; siblings Dr. Gerald Henrickson (Debby), Gregg Henrickson (Peggy) and Denise Gono (Glenn). She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilmar and Margaret Henrickson; and son Marc Budke.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
