Devin Sawvel

Devin Calan Richard Sawvel, January 14, 1999 - July 5, 2026.

Our treasured son, brother, uncle, and friend. Devin lived out loud and unapologetically, always. He loved photography, traveling, stirring the pot, and standing up for marginalized communities. While he was never one to shy away from much of anything, he had a tender heart that craved closeness and peace. He was often the glue that held his family together. He will be forever missed.

Devin is survived by his mother, Jeanne Sawvel; siblings: Devaney, Daniel (Katie), and Dustin; niece and nephews: Elijah, Leila, Truman, and Spencer; his chosen partner, Lily, her family, and their faithful pets; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; and friends that called him brother. Other meaningful survivors include: Tara, Nevaeh, Cosmos, and Byron--the California crew.

Devin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Joyce Sawvel, and other loving family members.

His family is planning a private, graveside gathering, to be held in the near future.
