Derek Engelke

Derek Engelke, age 16, of Backus, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2009, as the result of a four wheeler accident. He was born October 29, 1992 in Waconia, MN, to Terry and Teresa Engelke.
Derek loved hunting, riding his dirt bike and four wheeler, doing mechanical work, and spending time with his grandpa.
He is survived by his parents; sister, Jessica Bosma; brothers: Kevin Engelke, Dustin Engelke, Alan Knutson; grandparents, Ed and Evelyn Bosma; aunt and uncle, Eddie and LeAnn Bosma; niece, Madisyn; cousin, Billy Burke; and best friend, Mike Petersen.
Services will be 1 PM on Monday, April 20, at Lakeside Baptist Church, Backus. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
