Dennis Dean “Denny” Robideaux, age 90, of Pine River, MN, passed away on January 18th, 2026, at CentraCare-St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN due to a massive stroke.
Denny was born in 1935 in Pine River, MN, to Erwin and Bernice (Petersen) Robideaux.
He attended Hibbing, Blind Lake, and Pine River Schools and graduated from Backus High School in 1954. He loved all sports, especially baseball, which he played, along with football. He was even named after a baseball player, Dennis Galehouse, who played for the Minneapolis Millers. He loved watching Twins baseball, Christian television, and always enjoyed a strawberry sundae from Dairy Queen.
He was a member of the Blind Lake Tabernacle Church and after its closing, joined The Church of the Nazarene in Backus. He was a man of great faith and lived his life for Christ.
He will be fondly remembered for his signature wave from his house on the hill when family and friends said goodbye.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents and only brother, Darrell.
He is survived by his nephew, Clark (Andrea) Robideaux and their children, Reid and Sara; his nieces, Renee’ (Matt) Fabian and their children, Matthew, Bryce, and Jessica; and Lynn (Robert) Wick and their daughter, Cassidy.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on February 6th, 2026, at the Church of the Nazarene in Backus. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with burial at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Pine River.
