Delbert Pinta

Del Pinta, 86, of Baxter, died at his home on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. A Graveside Services and Interment is planned for 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 1 at the Baxter City Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Brainerd American Legion, Post 255 and the Brainerd VFW, Post 1647.

Del was born March 13, 1925 in Corwith, IA, the son of John and Myrtle (Bogard) Pinta. Following school, he enlisted in the US Navy and was a WWII veteran. On March 10, 1948, he was united in marriage to Julia Quinlan. Del worked for many years as sales manager for Champlin Petroleum. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Brainerd VFW, and the Elks. He enjoyed spending time tending to his garden and yard.

Del will be missed by his wife, Julia and children, Linda (Kenny Olson) Pinta, of Minneapolis and Mark Pinta, of Rosemount. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gerald.

Memorials are preferred to the DAV or Brainerd VFW.
