Deane Yungner

Deane Yungner, age 69, of Backus, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010. He was born March 17, 1940, in Minneapolis, to John and Annetta Yungner. Deane was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Philippines. He owned and operated Red Pine Log Homes in Backus.

Deane is survived by his wife, Bonnie; son, John Yungner; stepchildren: Jeffrey Barstow (Michelle), Kelly Barstow, Shawna Hamilton (Kirk); sister, Delores Templin (Howard); brother, Alden Yungner (Mary); sister-in-law, Darlene Yungner; twelve grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, William.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Services will be 2 PM on Saturday, January 9, at Lakeside Baptist Church, Backus, with Pastor Jeff Broom officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Backus. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
