David Palmquist

d. October 15, 2018

David Palmquist, age 73, of Pine River (formerly of Monticello) passed at home on October 15, 2018, from pancreatic cancer. Preceded in death by his parents, Louie Gert Palmquist, and his beloved big sister, Joyce Noren. Survived by his wife and partner of 51 years, and Mary (Yon) and their daughter, Hope (Chris Swingley); sisters, Betty Ringler (Pat Dennie) and Janis (Robert) Redfield; as well as extended family and an amazing circle of friends. Dave worked as a commercial Electrician for 38 years and was a proud member of IBEW Local 292. In retirement, he reveled in collecting and restoring classic cars, fishing on area lakes and wheeling and dealing his way through the back roads drinking his Coke Zero in a never-ending quest for car parts, antique signs, misc. treasures and conversation. Dave was a big man with a big heart. He loved his family, his friends and the life he and Mary enjoyed together.

A prayer service for family will be held at 2:00 pm on Sat., Oct. 20 at Bites Grill in Pine River. All are welcome at an informal (no ties, please!) Celebration of Life and sharing at Bites from 2:30 to 4:30. Memorials preferred to family or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org). Arrangements with Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.
