David Hausken

David Hausken, age 67, of Longville, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon at the Cuyana Range Medical Center in Crosby. Memorial Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, January 2, 2009, at the Longville Bible Church in Longville. Friends are welcome to gather with the family beginning at noon on Friday at the Church.
David Lynn Hausken was born on July 31, 1941, in Pine River, MN, the son of George and Violet (Whittman) Hausken. After graduating from high school he entered the United States Navy serving his country for 4 years returning to Longville in 1963. In 1963 he married Ella Lowe at Elizabeth City, NC. David and Ella were able to share over 45 years of marriage together. He worked for the Soo Line Railroad for 32 years as a district electrician. Among the things he enjoyed doing were hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Violet; a brother, Robert Hausken; a sister, Leona Mix; and a granddaughter, Rosemary Ebert. David will be lovingly missed by his wife of 45 years, Ella; children, Robert Lyn (Kris) Gaskins of Remer, MN, James Allen Hausken of Annamoose, ND, Tracey (Jack) Carter of Milan, MN, Melinda (Ron) Kjelland of Roseau, MN; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Alice Berge, Raymond (Karen) Hausken, and Marvin (Jenny) Hausken.
