David attended Minot State University before enlisting in the US Army. He served as a Military Policeman in Germany from 1968 to 1971, where he met the love of his life, Ann Ingraham. They were married in October 1971 and shared 54 wonderful years together raising three sons and building a life centered on faith and family.
In 1975, David answered God’s call to ministry and attended Northwest Bible College, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Shortly thereafter, he joined Calvary Alliance Church in Minot as Christian Education Director and later served as Senior Pastor for 30 years until his retirement in 2009.
Throughout his ministry, David devoted himself to serving others. He helped establish the chaplaincy program for the Minot Police Department and served as chaplain for the North Dakota Highway Patrol. He was also a member of the Minot Police Department’s Dive Rescue Team and Tactical Team and provided counseling through local hospital chemical dependency programs.
After retirement, David and Ann moved to Baxter, Minnesota, to be closer to their sons and grandchildren. He continued his ministry as a part time chaplain at St Jospeh’s Hospital in Baxter and preached for several months at the South Long Lake Church.
