Darlene Seaton

Darlene Mary Seaton, age 77, of Pine River, passed away September 21, 2017, after a brief illness. Services will be 1 PM on Wednesday, September 27, at First Lutheran Church, Pine River. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Darlene was born December 22, 1939, to Reinhold and Katherine Schultz in Tony, WI. After graduation she moved to the big city of Minneapolis where she met her love, William Seaton. They were married May 19, 1962. They had 5 children and made their home in Mounds View. When all her children were in school, Darlene entered the workforce. She worked in banking for many years and was able to work her way up. Darlene and Bill retired to Pine River in the early 1990's.

Darlene was known for her calm demeaner, her love for her family and friends and her strong faith. She enjoyed playing cards and was quietly competitive, and also enjoyed watching all sports. She especially enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids in all activities. She was their number one fan. Darlene was very involved in her church with the women's group, choir and lefse making.

Darlene is survived by her children: Jill Timpane (Mark) of St. Cloud, Julie Seaton of Brooklyn Park, Bill Seaton (Shana) of Coon Rapids, Anita Seaton (Brian) of Sartell; 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and another on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; daughter, Susan; and brother, Lavere.
