Daniel Symanietz, age 67, of Cushing, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025. A celebration of life will be held from 1pm-4pm on Sunday, August 3rd at the VFW in Randall, MN.
Daniel was born on May 13, 1958 to Donald and Donna (Thorson) Symanietz in Fargo, ND. He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1976. He began his working life in Fargo, North Dakota, where he was employed at Rusco Windows for eight years. In 1989, he moved to Cushing, Minnesota, where he met the love of his life, Deborah. The two were married on June 23, 1990, and together they built a life full of laughter, hard work, and meaningful community involvement.
Dan went on to work at Crestliner before settling into a long career at Gold’n Plump, where he dedicated over 30 years of service. Known for his strong work ethic and reliability, Dan was well respected by coworkers and friends alike.
A passionate outdoorsman, Dan found great joy in fishing, deer hunting, and duck hunting. He especially cherished time spent at the family cabin on Little Pine Lake in Perham, where countless memories were made with loved ones. Dan was devoted to his family and had a soft spot for his nieces and nephews, whom he loved to spoil.
Dan gave back to his community through his involvement in the Randall Cushing Area Lions Club, serving for ten years. He was also a longtime supervisor for Cushing Township, where he was known for his steady presence and commitment to his neighbors.
Daniel will be remembered for his warm heart, generous spirit, and love for the outdoors and family. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, kindness, and the simple joys of time spent together. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dan is survived by his wife Deborah; siblings, Dawn Mary (Mike) Ackley of Fergus Falls, Don (Pam) Symanietz of Fargo ND, Del (Carol) Symanietz of Bismark, ND; many nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law Mitch Bollig. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law Michelle Bollig; parents-in-law Ivan and Kathy Bollig and brother-in-law Mike Bollig.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Randall.
