Claudia Passmore

Claudia Jean Passmore, age 49, of Brainerd, MN, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

Claudia was born on May 14, 1977, in St. Paul, MN. She was raised by her loving and faith-led parents, George and Elisabeth Cahoon. She was a graduate of Lake Region Christian School, Brainerd, MN. She met her husband, Scott Passmore, while they worked together at Walmart, and they were married on February 2, 2013.

Claudia had such a genuine warmth and gift for making people feel seen and cared for. She worked wholeheartedly in retail for more than 30 years. Claudia was able to start a conversation with anyone, showing genuine care and compassion. Her love for people, no matter their walk of life, was truly immense.

Above all, Claudia loved her family. She had four wonderful sons whom she loved deeply and could not have been more proud of. She was a devoted wife to Scott for 13 years; a loving mother to Kyle (Alexis) Helland of Ellsworth, WI, Jeremiah Helland of Sauk Rapids, Jonah Helland of Brainerd, and Kristopher Cahoon-Passmore of Brainerd; a proud Gamma-Gamma to Freya and Louella.

Claudia is survived by her mother, Elisabeth Cahoon. She will be greatly missed by her many loved once and by all the people she had blessed with her presence throughout her life.

Caludia was preceded in death by her father, George Cahoon, and her infant brother George Cahoon.
