Christine Roos

Christine Louise Roos (Ovitt), 55, of Brainerd, Minnesota, passed away on November 27, 2025.

On Saturday, November 23, Christine suffered an aneurysm and underwent surgery. Though she initially survived, she was later given no chance of recovery. In a final act of generosity, she gave the gift of life to others as an organ donor on Thanksgiving evening.

Born September 23, 1970, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, Christine grew up in Longville, where her larger-than-life personality, radiant smile, and infectious laughter touched everyone she met.

Christine was the proud mother of three sons, Zachariah (Emily) Huston, Liam (Tia Green) Roos, and Logan Roos, and grandmother to four grandsons. She shared meaningful chapters of her life with her ex-husband, Jason Roos, and was loved deeply by her significant other, Keith Justin. She is also survived by her parents, Bud and Judy Ovitt, her brothers Cliff (Malia) Ovitt and Chuck Ovitt, and her sister Char (Joe) Romanowski.

She loved cooking, fishing, and embracing life with passion, humor, and heart. Christine will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the love she gave freely. Her light lives on in all who knew her and through the lives she touched as an organ donor.
