Christina Quinn passed away peacefully at age 59 after an 8 year battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Christina was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Of all these roles mother and wife were what meant most to her. Christina was a champion equestrian in her childhood and adolescence, high school athlete, hair stylist, flight attendant, world traveler, loving dog mom, amazing cook, Detroit Lions fan, and a pretty good golfer. She always won trivia games and knew the lyrics to just about every 80’s rock song.
Some of the adjectives used to describe Christina include joyful, loving, determined, funny, adventurous, inclusive, quick witted, loyal, mischievous, stylish, and beautiful. While those who knew her will miss her beyond measure we know the physical pain is gone and she can rest.
Christina is survived by her husband Mike; son Evan; mother Vickie (Ron); father Bill; sister Maria (Steve); brother Bill (Jennifer); numerous nephews and nieces who all consider her their favorite aunt.
A celebration of life will be held for Christina this spring in a manner that honors her wishes.
The family would like to share our sincere gratitude for Christina's outstanding care team through the years at City of Hope in Zion, Illinois and those from Essentia Health-St Joseph Medical Center in Brainerd who provided such tender care for her and outstanding support for her family during her last days.
