Chet Howard Swenson

Chet Howard Swenson was born at 4:00am at Cuyuna Range Medical Center, Crosby, on June 23, 2024 and met the eyes of Jesus at 5:15am the same day.

Chet was the son of Abigayle (Kiehlbauch) and Ty Swenson. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Aurora Jane and Ruby, his cousins Nova, Rosanna, and Heavenly, his namesake and great-grandpa Howard “Jiggs” Blanck, great-grandpa Gerald Kiehlbauch, great-grandma Edna (Carter) Kiehlbauch, his other namesake and great-great grandpa, Chester “Chet” Lewis, his paternal grandpa Michael Swenson, and his paternal great-grandpa James Sharp.

He is survived by his paternal grandparents Megan (Sharp) Swenson and Mike Wenzel of Brainerd, his maternal grandparents Dianna (Blanck) and Kevin Kiehlbauch of Brainerd, his paternal great-grandparents Mary and Randy Moeser of Brainerd and Patty (Lewis)and Joe Swenson of Bagley, MN, his maternal great-grandma Kathryn “Marnie” (Owen) Blanck, his paternal aunts and uncles Aerial and Trey Lapke of Sioux City, SD, Trey Swenson and Laura Platt of Brainerd, Sage Swenson of Las Vegas, NV, and Logan Wenzel and Madi of Brainerd, his maternal aunts and uncles Jenny Kiehlbauch of Brainerd, Jessica (Kiehlbauch) and Steve Crawford of Gardner City, KS, Joni (Kiehlbauch) and Matt Carlson of Aitkin, and Alli (Kiehlbauch) and Isaac Loe of Cottonwood, MN, his 11 first cousins and 8 second cousins.

Chet’s funeral will take place on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Public Visitation will be from 12pm-1pm with the service starting at 1pm. A celebration of life lunch will take place afterward at Zion.
