Chester Ringler

Chester( Chip) L Ringler, age 71, passed away Tuesday January 4, 2011 at Lakewood Hospital in Staples. Funeral services are planned for 1:30 P.M. Friday, January 7, 2011 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Staples. Visitation will be Thursday January 6, 2011 from 5-7 P.M. at Brenny Funeral Home in Staples and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Chip was born June 10, 1939 in Staples to Leo and Anna (Wiskow) Ringler. He graduated from Motley High School. Chip married Barbara in 1960. He worked in Minneapolis at Minneapolis Moline for 12 years before returning to the Staples area in 1971. Chip then worked at Stearns Rubber for 33 years before retiring in July 2005. Family was the focus of Chips life. He enjoyed doing remodeling work for his family members, cutting firewood, fixing cars, and most of all camping for many years with his family.

Chip will be greatly missed by Barbara, his wife of 50 years; sons Tim and Kevin (Amy); grandsons, Chris and Alex; brothers Dallas (Carol) and Gary; special niece Jen Johnson; and many other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Anna and one brother Lawrence.
