Charlene Leona White, Age 75 of Pine River, MN, passed away at her home June 27, 2025.
Char’s celebration of life will be on July 8, 2025, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Pine River with visitation at 11AM, service at 12PM, and a burial service following at Norwood Cemetery.
Char was born on Dec 2, 1949, to Clarence Jr and Ardelle Hall in Loon Lake Township. She attended and graduated from Pequot Lakes High School and then attended vocational Tech Community College in Brainerd. Char was united in marriage to Ted on Jan 30, 1978, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Swanburg. They spent their married life living on a small farm in Rual Pine River, where they raised their children. Char spent many years working at Whispering Pines Nursing home and worked at Breezy Point Resort and Reeds’ Grocery store before retiring.
In her spare time, Char loved attending garage sales, deer hunting with her family, and playing solitaire (or any card games), and reading. However, her real passion was bird watching, her love of gardening, and we can’t forget she was a true Vikings fan and that she loved her collection of movies. She had the neighborhood kids and family stop and do movie exchanges often.
Char above all, was a loving and proud mom and grandma that loved her family and friends dearly. She enjoyed attending activities and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, especially football. When she was not able to attend, she would watch videos of highlights so she didn’t miss out.
Charlene is survived by her sons, Ted (Tracy), William (Sheena), Jeremy (Angie), and Trac (Amanda); 9 grandchildren: Logan (Fiancé, Lou), Hunter, Miah, Christie, James, Alice, Emma, Lily, and Lance; and 2 great-grandchildren, Alex and Jack. Besides the immediate family, she leaves behind her siblings, Dawn Hall of Brainerd, Rodney Hall of Kellyville OK, Les Hall of Pine River, Tim Hall of Pine River, and Nona Malz (Hall) of Pine River; sisters-in-law, Joann Clemen of Backus, Donna Mae Hudson of Crosslake, and Kathy and Danny Fisher of Cass Lake; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and 8 great-great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ted; parents, Clarence Jr and Ardelle Hall; Siblings, Karen Hall, Nikkie Hofius, Debra Hall and Robin Hall; in laws, Donna and Carl White; brother-in-Law, Chuck; and great nephew, Levi Hurd.
The family would like to acknowledge Heidi, Char’s PCA, as she was instrumental in her care. Heidi’s care and friendship brought Char comfort and much laughter to her days.
Char’s life was full of love, reliance, and support and she will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
