Catherine O'Donnell

Catherine Ann O’Donnell, age 94, of Breezy Point, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2021 at her home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Crosslake. Visitation will take place starting at 9:30 am prior to services. Internment will be at Pelican Woods Cemetery in Breezy Point following the luncheon.

Catherine was born on April 22, 1927 to Raymond and Mary (Schwartz) Prasch. She graduated from Sauk Centre Public School in 1944, and continued her education at St. Cloud School of Nursing graduating in 1948. She worked at St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN and Richview Nursing Home in Richfield, MN. Catherine was married to Joseph O’Donnell on August 21, 1954 and they were married for 66 years. They moved to their lake home full time on Lake Ossawinnamakee in 1984.

She is survived by her beloved husband Joe; children Michelle (Bill) Boles, Jeff (Chris) O’Donnell, and Tom (Melissa) O’Donnell; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brothers Raymond (Mary) Prasch and Jim (Betty) Prasch. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters Mary Margaret McLean and Theresa Prasch.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Good Samaritan Hospice team in Nisswa, MN for their loving care of Mom over these past several months. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorials to go to Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Cross Lake, MN (https://engage.suran.com/ihc/s/give/new-gift), or City of Breezy Point for Pelican Woods Cemetery in Breezy Point, MN.
