Carolyn Marie Buss, age 90, of Pine River, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on October 9, 1934, on her parents’ farm west of Pequot Lakes, she was the beloved daughter of the late Gilbert and Esther Anderson. She graduated from Pequot Lakes High School in 1952 and later earned a degree as a dental assistant, working in that profession until retirement.

Carolyn was a founding member of the Pequot Lakes Brush Pilots snowmobile club, competed in numerous Powder Puff races, and belonged to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary Unit #49, and the Pequot Lakes Historical Society. She cared deeply for children and volunteered each year, collecting pledges for the March of Dimes to aid maternal and infant health.

Carolyn is survived by her children: Debra Moyer, Pam Jensen (Jim), Greg Buss, Kevin Buss (Melissa); 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Shirley “Bunny” Window. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Bill, and three sisters.

Carolyn’s kindness, generosity, and steadfast commitment to her family will be remembered and valued by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 11am - 2pm at the Pequot Lakes American Legion.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
