Carl Avant

Carl Avant, age 62, of Backus, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, December 1, 2014. He was born to Donald and Alice Avant on February 16, 1952, in Bloomington, MN.

Carl is survived by his wife, Lisa Avant; children: Ron Avant (Betsy), Tommy Avant (Sam), Curtis Avant, Anthony DeClusin (Janae), Curtis DeClusin (Jenna), Mataya Preston (Michael); stepsons: Andy Forseth, Larry Forseth; sisters, Mary Lou, Sandy, Carol, Debra; grandchildren: Kyle, Daniel, Hayden, Riley, Cadie, Alyssa, Samuel, Kailey, Gaige, Lexi, Angel and Michael.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 PM on Saturday, December 6, at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.
