Byron Stahl

Byron O’Dell Stahl, 72, of Baxter, Minnesota, passed away on September 8, 2025. A visitation will be from 10am – 12pm on Friday, September 19, 2025 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Interment will follow at 1:30pm at Round Lake Presbyterian Cemetery in McGregor.

Byron was born on May 25, 1953, in Bemidji to Gary and Marjorie (Stecker) Stahl. He lived a full and spirited life, marked by hard work, strong friendships, and a love for simple joys. He was especially proud of his 1966 GTO and enjoyed being a member of the Northern Tin Street Rod Association. Whether it was cracking open a cold PBR, watching horse races, snowmobiling through the Minnesota winters, or heading out hunting with his brother, Byron embraced every opportunity to enjoy life with family and friends. He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings.

For 33 years, Byron worked with Wrights Tree, where his dedication and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on his coworkers and community. On February 14, 1987, he married the love of his life, Marilyn Osterman, in Nisswa, Minnesota. Together they built a life filled with laughter, love, and memories shared with family.

Byron will be deeply missed by his wife, Marilyn; children, Tammy (Dave) Johnson, Theresa Marsyla, and Teri (Mark) Yahnke; grandchildren, Nathan, Danielle, Ashley, Hayden, Harper, Tylor, and Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Serenity and Hazel; brother, Kevin (Carrie) Stahl; sister-in-law, Naomi Stahl; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Marjorie; and his brother, Emerson.

Byron will be remembered for his humor, his love of cars and the outdoors, and the joy he found in being surrounded by those he loved. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
