Bruce Roberts

Bruce Veryl Roberts passed away peacefully on October 31, 2026 with family by his side.

Bruce was born August 19, 1950 to Veryl “Doc” and Vivian (Anderson) Roberts in Wadena, MN. When he was in 3rd grade his family moved to Brainerd where he graduated from BHS in 1968. He married his high school sweetheart Thelma (Jelle) on December 20, 1969. Together they raised three children Shon, Lori & Leesha. Bruce wore many hats along the way he was a mechanic and bus driver for many years at Reichert Bus Service, he work at the Brainerd Civic Center as a rink attendant, and then he worked in shipping at Clow Stamping where he retired. After retiring he decided he wanted something to keep him busy so he started driving for not only one but three local car dealerships in town Tanner Motors, Auto Solutions and MTH. Bruce loved hockey, baseball, hunting, traveling and watching his grandchildren in anything they had going on, he was so proud of the amazing young people they have grown into.

Bruce is survived by his children Shon (Lisa) Roberts, Lori (Scott) Koland, Leesha Roberts and his six grandchildren Mara, Eli, Lexi, Braydon, Tre’Von & Zay’Vion he was extremely proud of them all, and his siblings Greg (Diane) Roberts & Debbie (Steve) Isackson. He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma, his parents Doc & Vivian.

Bruce will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, November 15, 2026 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter with a visitation held one hour prior.
