Brent Wilmot Campbell
September 01, 1965 – January 29, 2026
Brent Campbell, 60, was a man of devotion, patience, generosity, thoughtfulness, and wit. Always willing to give a helping hand, share a smile, or crack a joke; he lived for his family and friends.
On Jan. 13, 2026, Brent was diagnosed with an aggressive stomach cancer. Two days later, he suffered a massive heart attack. During his fight he showed strength, grace, and optimism with the uphill battle ahead.
Brent was born on September 01, 1965, to Bill and Carol Campbell of Bloomington. He grew up and graduated from Lakeville High School in 1983. He married Jana (Sullivan) Campbell on Sept. 10, 1988, in Apple Valley, and they lived in Lakeville for 10 years before moving to Brainerd in 1998, where they raised their three children – Barrett, Brayden, and Justine.
Brent was with Northern Tool and Equipment for nearly 30 years, proudly sharing how he worked his way from the warehouse to being call center manager. He loved his time spent at his favorite place, the Cabin, hunting, fishing, and relaxing overlooking the lake. Whether volunteering or being volunteered, he was always ready to coach all of his kids sports teams and was a staple of Nisswa Parks and Rec. He showed courage and unwavering commitment to his wife, Jana, as she fought her long battle with brain cancer. Despite the hardships life presented, Brent was always positive. He laughed at every opportunity and continually brought joy to others.
He is survived by his children, Barrett, of Brainerd; Brayden (Destiny), of Missouri; and Justine (Jared) Winter, of Brainerd; his mother, Carol Campbell; his mother-in-law, Janice Sullivan; his brother Bruce (Jeanine); his sister Laurie (Mark); three brothers-in-law, Mark (Mary), Shawn (Ellen), Mike (Wendy); sister-in-law, Mary; many nieces and nephews, his special pup, Ruca, and four grandpups.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jana Campbell; his father Bill Campbell; and his father-in-law Mike Sullivan.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to the Givens Brain Tumor Center or a cancer charity that is close to your heart.
Brent’s service will be held at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa on Saturday February 21st at 11:00am. There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the start of the service and a luncheon to follow the service. Please join us to share Love and Memories as he would have wanted.
