Brenda Kay Schmidt (Bryant), 57, of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, bid farewell to this earthly stage on November 9, 2023. Born on January 17, 1966, in Brainerd, Minnesota, Brenda was a shining star. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and a few questionable driving directions.
Brenda was armed with a quick wit and an unmatched sense of humor. Silly moments were her specialty, and she fearlessly poked fun at herself, forever keeping us in stitches. With a heart as big as Minnesota itself, she was always ready to lend a helping hand and sprinkle kindness like confetti.
In her quest for knowledge, Brenda graduated from the esteemed Pequot Lakes High School, class of 1984. She was a true scholar of life, always seeking new adventures and experiences.
Brenda's career path resembled a rollercoaster ride through a wildlife-filled Alaskan forest and a monster truck rally in Japan. From being a taxidermist to joining the USA1 monster truck crew, she fearlessly embraced every opportunity. However, it was in the realm of hospitality that Brenda truly shone. From meat raffle sales to serving and bartending at local establishments, she captivated hearts with her work ethic and people skills, earning the title of local legend.
When not conquering the professional world, Brenda found solace in her hobbies. A master of culinary delights, she whipped up mouthwatering dishes and crafted charcuterie boards that could make your taste buds dance. Black Friday was her version of the Super Bowl, and she scored amazing deals, spreading the savings like confetti. Gathered around a cup of coffee, Brenda shared the juiciest stories, making every conversation a memorable experience. And let's not forget her passion for agate hunting, unearthing rock treasures that would make geologists green with envy.
Brenda's magnetic personality and zest for life touched the hearts of her loved ones. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Steven Schmidt, her beloved son, Jacob Schmidt, her cherished mother, Becky Bryant, and her brothers Brad (Linda) Bryant and Brian (Sue) Bryant, and a flock of adoring nieces and nephews who will forever remember her as the "Favorite Auntie Extraordinaire." She was preceded in death by her adoring father, Dick Bryant.
To celebrate Brenda's life, a grand finale will take place at Kline Funeral Home in Pequot Lakes on Saturday, November 25. Visitation will begin at 12 PM followed by a memorial service at 2 PM. Following the service, a delightful luncheon will be held at the Barajas Mexican Bar and Grill, where stories and laughter will be shared.
Brenda's laughter echoes through the halls of our memories, and her light will forever guide us. While she may have taken her final bow, her spirit lives on, reminding us to embrace life with humor, kindness, and a pinch of adventure. Dance on, Brenda, and keep the laughter alive in the realm where angels wear their halos sideways.
