Brenda Johnson

Brenda passed peacefully at home in Staples/Motley on October 31, surrounded by the family she lived for. Born in Montevideo, MN, Brenda was a kind and caring woman whose laughter and generosity touched everyone around her. She devoted her life to her family, finding her greatest happiness as a mother, grandmother, and friend.

Brenda enjoyed trips with her daughters and granddaughters, the annual 4th of July campout at Bernie’s, bingo, pull-tabs, traveling, thrifting, walks, and concerts. Her favorite time was spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grand child:

Randina and Lee Grant; Brendon and Daisy (expecting a great-grandchild); Bentlee, Bria.

Sheena and Tony Sjogren; Hailey, Daija and Christian Miley;

Violet and Zak Stoks; Elijah, Alessandra, Joseph;

Victoria and Matt Dack; Samara and Dane, Cadence.

Also survived by Erik Halvorson; siblings: Linda Tweeter; Darrell Higgins; Luanne and Sam Morman; Steve Tweeter; Terry and Pam Tweeter; Daune Tweeter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Violet and Roland (Jack) Tweeter; brothers Michael, Robert, Bradley and Butch (Jack) Tweeter, and twin Brian; Shirley Tweeter; Marica Higgins and Michael Hagen.

Brenda’s warmth and smile will be remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and family.

Service will be held at 1pm on November 15th at: United Methodist Church - 310 5th St NE Staples MN 56479-2331

Burial will take place at Ogema Point Drive Cushing, Minnesota 56443 Immediately following service, with a lunch to follow at the United Methodist church.
