Brad Serani, 49, of Brainerd, died Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, September 6, at 11 am, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd, with Reverend Father Seamus Walsh officiating. Friends may visit Tuesday, September 5, from 5-7 pm, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, with Fr. Kristoffer McKusky leading parish prayers at 6 pm. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Brad Martin Serani was born June 4, 1957 in Chicago, to Henry and Virginia (Czach) Serani. He moved to Brainerd in 1978, and he worked for the local newspaper. He was often praised for his wonderful work with youngster newspaper carriers. Later, he was successful in commercial advertising sales. He was a past member of the Brainerd Jaycees. Brad enjoyed watching movies and playing ping pong, and he loved his dog, Molly.
Brad will be deeply missed by his mother, Virginia Croghan, Lake San Marcos, CA; his siblings, Scott (Jill) Serani, Broomfield, CO, Marc (Peggy) Serani, Baxter, and Dale (Carol) Serani, South Elgin, IL; and step-siblings Barb (Greg) Schavey, Chicago and Steve (Dale) Croghan, Ingelside, IL; and eleven nieces and nephews, including his godchild, April Serani. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Serani and his stepfather, John Croghan.
