Beverly Gryz

Beverly W. Gryz, 90, of Pillager, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Riverside Assisted Living in Pillager. Beverly's memorial service will be Friday, January 5, at 11 AM, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Friends may visit during the hour before the service.

Beverly was born May 28, 1927, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Frederick and Winnifred (Whittier) Wick. She graduated from North High School and in 1945 she was united in marriage to Edward Gryz. The couple made their home in North Minneapolis where Beverly worked as a sales clerk for Montgomery Wards. Following their retirement, they moved to the Brainerd Lakes Area. Beverly enjoyed bowling, dancing, gardening, and most of all cooking. She was also quite a seamstress and liked spending time quilting and doing patch-work.

She will be missed and is survived by her children, Timothy (Janet) Gryz, of Backus and Kimberly (Myron) Spath, of Maple Grove; granddaughters, Sara and Stephanie; and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Aiden, Owen, and Benjamin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Neil and Jeanne.
