Betty Esther Eisner-Anderson, 83, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on July 25, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, family, and special memories.
Betty was a blessing born on February 18, 1943, to Ida and Walter Eisner. She grew up on a farm in the Pequot Lakes area before graduating from Pequot Lakes High School. She attended college at St. Scholastica-Duluth and Concordia College-St. Paul before marrying Richard Anderson on Dec 11, 1965, and living in the Brainerd area for decades.
Betty was a lifelong learner finishing out her nursing and business degrees before working full time as a nightshift RN at St. Joseph's Hospital in Brainerd. After retirement, she built her dream home in the Pequot Lakes area to be closer to her family and church community.
If you knew Betty, you would know she cherished her faith in Jesus and spent many years teaching, serving, leading, praying, and loving her family and church family. She loved spending time with her ever growing family, gardening, canning, cooking, Bible Studies, visiting people, and traveling.
Betty is survived by her children Julie Moen (Rich), Karin Simons (Stacey) Kathi Anderson (John), Aimee Salgy, and Michael Anderson along with their father, Richard Anderson. Her surviving legacy includes siblings, Elsie Gorham and Ernie Eisner, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, extended family, friends, and her faith family and community.
Betty was proceeded in death by her parents, Ida and Walter Eisner.
While our hearts are sad with her sudden passing, we find peace in knowing she is truly home in Heaven and smiling with joy. She will forever be loved, missed, and remembered.
A memorial service will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes at 11 AM on August 8, 2026. A visitation will be held the hour prior to the service.
