Bette Christianson

Bette Lou Christianson, age 79, of Staples, passed away Saturday evening at the Lakewood Hospital in Staples. Funeral Service will be Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 11:00 am in Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Stephen Sveom officiating and assisted by Intern Pastor JillMichell Cosart. Visitation will be at the church Thursday morning, starting at 10:00. Interment will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery of Staples. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples. Bette Lou Christianson was born May 30, 1927 in Aldrich, Minnesota to Harold and Mabel (Battshaw) Sommars. She graduated from Verndale High School. She was united in marriage to Richard Allen Christianson June 6, 1948. Bette had many interests in life, but one of her major interests was her occupation. She was an owner/ operator of Chris Curlin Staples where she not only enjoyed styling peoples hair she enjoyed sharing the lives of her clients and friends. She also enjoyed the outdoors.She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Staples. Bette is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Gayle Peterson. She is survived by her husband Richard, of Staples; sons, Steven (Cynthia) of St. Cloud, and Jeffrey (Corinne) of Big Lake; 2 grandchildren, Gretchen and Lance; and nephews; and 1 brother-in-law, Kenneth (Miriam) of Bemidji.
