Ann Stoll

Ann Stoll of Pine River passed away January 11, 2018, at her home. She was born to Robert and Sarah Shepherd on December 11, 1940, in Glasgow, Scotland. Ann was united in marriage to the love of her life, Gene Stoll, on August 29, 1960. She worked for Scorpion Snowmobiles in the 1970's, then raised her three children in Staples, MN, and later in life retired as an employee of the Pine River-Backus School District. Ann was an auxiliary member of the Backus American Legion. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who had a love for bowling, knitting, crossword puzzles and rarely passed up a good bingo game. Ann loved it when her family would join her for bingo at the Legion.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gene Stoll; daughter, Donna Stoll; and granddaughter, Bridgett Stoll. She is survived by her sons, Dale Stoll of Staples, Scott Stoll (Michele) of Missoula, Montana; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 1 PM on Saturday, January 20, at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Luncheon will follow at the Pine River American Legion.
