Andrew L. Granby

Andrew L. Granby, age 87, of Staples, passed away peacefully at his home in Staples on September 23, 2022. A Memorial Service for Andrew will be held on Thursday September 29, 2022 at 2:00pm at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Staples. There will be light refreshments and time for visiting following the service.  

Andrew was born to Martin and Clara (Thorset) Granby on November 6, 1934, in Byron Township in Cass County. After completing Highschool, Andrew went on to work on the family farm.

He enjoyed a peaceful time in the woods waiting for the big deer to come his way. He was a talented wood craftsman, building things like trucks, tractors, trains, and bird houses. He was always tinkering with something and keeping himself busy with ‘word find’ puzzles and really enjoyed picking apples in the Fall.

Andrew is survived by his daughter Ruth (Mike) Robben, his son Michael Granby, his grandson Aaron, and his siblings Phyllis, Thea, and Clarice.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kathy, his son Martin, sister Esther, and his brother Marvin.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
