Alma Mammenga

Alma Mae Barbra Mammenga, 87, of Staples died on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Tri County Hospital in Wadena, MN. Private Family Services at a later date. Interment will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN.

Alma was born on February 10, 1929 in Tracy, MN to Lester and Viola (Finnell) Sheets. She was a homemaker and also was a cook at the Staples School. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and watching birds. Alma loved most of all spending time with her family.

Alma is survived by her children, Richard (Pat) Mammenga of Colorado, Marlys (Jim) Moser of Wisconsin, Roland (Mary Lou) Mammenga of Randall, MN, Marie Mammenga of Staples, MN, Rae (Pat) Mammenga of Iowa, Marge (Curt) Atkisson of Staples, MN, and Rynn Mammenga of Staples, MN; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Laverne; son, Randy; and infant son; and grandson, Mitchell. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
