David Peterson

David Bruce Peterson, age 76, of Brainerd passed away unexpectedly at St. Cloud Hospital on Friday, May 5, 2017, following a May 3rd accident at home. David’s memorial service will be Friday, May 12, at 5 PM, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

David was born January 12, 1941 in Brainerd, to Herman and Sandra (Ylinen) Peterson. He grew up and attended school in Brainerd, and was united in marriage to Bonita Hastings on April 27, 1980, in Las Vegas, NV. He drove truck for more than fifty years. David enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. He raced snowmobiles, and loved and understood anything powered by a motor. His pets meant a great deal to him, but his primary love was his family.

Left to remember David are Bonnie, his loving wife of 37 years; two daughters, Lynn and Kathleen; a son, Jeff and a stepson, Kevin; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings, Gary (Cathy) Peterson, Kathryn Caughey, Doris Holtz, and Betty (Bob) Howell; a sister-in-law, Darlene Peterson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Sandra; and two brothers, Richard and Glen. Services entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
